Negative Pressure System
Quick Overview

With a negative pressure system, the blower is statically mounted on the wall. It is not attached to the hood as a safety feature. This allows the section of flexible hose between the hood and the blower to be under negative pressure.

This is safer setup. Should the hose tear, room air will leak into the hose, as opposed to exhaust air blowing into the room (as would happen with the standard positive pressure setup). Note: 80% of systems sold are the standard positive pressure configuration. This option is normally purchased by customers with higher safety requirements, like schools.
