Ribs

Ribs are considered to be a potter’s best friend when it comes to defining profiles, wringing out water or adding decorative touches. In the beginning, potters used actual animal ribs but luckily for us they are now commonly made from wood, metal, and plastic as you can tell from the selection bellow. Ribs are one of the most basic and frequently used tools in clay and so a potter’s tool kit is not complete without one or two or five!
