Causes glazes to resist and bead up where applied
on a bisque piece. Can be thinned with water (water
soluble). You should wait 2 hours or more after application before
glazing.

Duncan Wax Resist - SY547
A wax emulsion to repel underglaze and glazes
applied over it. The wax is burned off in firing, revealing
designs or base colors. Wax resist is also helpful in preventing
chipping and peeling of color when creating sgraffito'ed designs through
opaque underglaze. Burns out at cone 017.

Mask-n-Peel
A water based emulsion formulated by Duncan to protect design areas
or colors, making application of background or adjoining colors faster
and easier. Apply 1 coat of Mask-n-Peel to bisque, un-fired
underglaze or un-fired glaze, let dry thoroughly, apply additional color
layer, then lift an edge and peel the mask away. Multiple layers
and colors may be used for complicated designs.
