What is a TopHat Kiln?
Olympic's Top Hat kilns are designed for firing glass, and ceramics.
Top Hat are equipped with a lid element for
glass fusing. They also fire to 2350°F for high firing pottery and
ceramic projects.
The TopHat series is designed with an elevating firing chamber, for easy loading and unloading of ware by lifting and closing the firing chamber with a hand crank.
12 inches of clearance are provided when the chamber is lifted, allowing accessibility from all sides of the kiln.
The unique design of the kiln retains the heat within the firing chamber even when it is opened.
Every model comes equipped with lid element and body elements, and fires to 2350°F.
The RTC-1000 controller is the standard controller on the models with six user programs containing 8 segments per program for ramp/hold and cone fire programming.
Models are available in 18", 23" and 28" widths, with 9" and 13.5" depths.
All models come with the RTC1000
controller
by default. If you prefer the V6-CF
controller, please request it in the order comments. There is no
difference in price.
