Don says, " I
threw stems and the first few were tedious, but once I got the sequence
down it went pretty fast throwing off the hump. The adhesive is
incredibly strong. I could barely cut through it to trim around the
glass using a razor blade! With the first set I had glue running
down the inside of the stem and onto the table- I used too much
glue.
This last batch I spread
just enough to cover the top of the stem but not run and did not put any
glue on the glass. I put the top on and placed it on a banding wheel
to check for centering and level. Then I turned it upside down to
set up. No adhesive down the inside of the stem! The stem top
is visible through the bottom of the glass and definitely looks better
glazed.
The Opulence glaze 'reduction
look' colors are incredible at C 5 1/2. I spray and layer at least 2
colors until they run. Try Antique Iron over anything but especially good
on Pebble Beach, Blue Monday, and Eggshell (my favorite). I sprayed
these but poured subsequent ones and got much better glaze coverage."
Left to right, Don used
Opulence Blue Monday with Antique Iron, Paprika, and Eggshell with Antique
Iron. Opulance Glazes can be
