Most glaze lines are a random set of
colors with a common texture. In these lines, the colors
stand alone, cover a wide spectrum and have no particular
relationship to each other. EnviroColors are an attempt
to capture only the muted tones and shades of our natural
environment. (Thus, there are no bright reds, hot pinks,
cobalt blues, etc.) We have attempted to create a theme for
the entire line based on color and to create a set of colors
that can sensibly be used together.
EnviroColors develop a glossy and matte texture
together. This makes an interesting glaze surface
and more color variation. If EnviroColors are cooled
quickly they will be more glossy; if they are cooled slowly, they
will be more matte. Furthermore, the color of the body and the
thickness of glaze will influence the final color and texture.

Dry glaze mixing directions:
Mix one part glaze to one part water by weight (1 gallon of water weighs
8.333 lbs). 5 lbs uses almost 1 gallon of water. 25 lbs uses 3
gallons of water. Let sit 24 hours, adjust consistency for application. May be dipped, poured, or brushed. For best results
screen with a 60 to 100 mesh sieve.
Pints and 5# units are stocked. Gallons are
