Laguna Dry Cone 5 Glaze

The following line of Laguna Dry Glazes are all formulated for Cone 5. They tend to be traditional, muted, earthy colors. Most are formulated for oxidation, but others are best in reduction.

Each has its own distinct surface quality, and reaction to added colorants will vary from one to the next. Clear and White are both excellent base glazes for decorating with stains or color additions. Both contain no zinc and allow the use of chrome tin stains.

Read the description carefully to determine whether oxidation or reduction is advised.  All colors are lead free and safe for food and beverage containers.
    - Oxidation glazes are in purple,
    - Reduction in black.

Italian Straw

A mottled, gloss glaze which is a golden beige color. Reacts nicely with various colorants to product softer mottled textures and colors.

Good all-purpose clear gloss which fires from Cone 5-10. It works well with oxides colorants. Alight to medium application is recommended..

Jon's Clear

This is a good, all purpose clear gloss glaze which fires from cone 5 to 10. This glaze is excellent on porcelain and smooth stoneware. It is recommended this glaze be applied thinly for best results. (Cone 5-10)

Artificial Salt 5

The toxicologists say no more salt glazes, but they haven't tried Artificial Salt! This Cone 5 "artificial" salt glaze produces almost identical results to the old favorite without the hazard to man, machinery or environment. Note: This glaze settles out, so it should be mixed up in small batches and used right away.

Light Blue

Blue, mottled, opaque glaze that is best dipped once to medium thickness. Fires best in oxidation. Very smooth surface. Do not add additional color.
