Laguna Chromium Oxide

Chromium (III) oxide is also known as chromium sesquioxide, chromia, chrome green, and Eskolaite.

Chromium oxide's distinctive green color is used to produce green tints in glaze.

When heated, it will turn brown, but return to green once it is cooled.

It the presence of zinc oxide, however, it will tint the clay brown or tan.

When combines with tin oxide, it will produce pink tints.

When combined with lead, it will produce reds.

It is usually used in percentages of less than 2%.

It has a melting point of 1950°C.
