Pugged

Pugged clay is clay that has been prepared already by working it into a soft condition typically in machine such as a clay mixer or pug mill. This is done so air is forced out of the clay leaving you with a more manageable consistency. However even though these clays have already been pugged, it is still important to briefly wedge them by hand to align clay particles and to further remove air from the pugging process. While having air bubbles in your clay does not necessarily cause it to explode inside your kiln, it is better to be safe than sorry.

Below you can find ready to throw or hand build Low Fire, Stoneware and Porcelain clays.
