Thomas Stuart Prodigy Pottery Wheel

New from Thomas Stuart!  The Prodigy features the same heavy duty components you've come to expect on Thomas Stuart wheels, but at an incredible price!   The industry's best motor, cast aluminum wheel head and foot pedal, plus a super rugged design.  The Prodigy features a splash pan can be removed by twisting and lifting the wheel head off the wheel.  This design is cleaner and easier to use than the standard two-piece splash pans on other brands of wheels. 

The Prodigy features the following:

1/3 hp continual duty motor for centering up to 75 lbs clay  
( same as the Thomas Stuart Classic and Legend wheels! ) 
Standard Thomas Stuart SCR controller for exacting speed control
Heavy duty cast aluminum foot pedal.
12” twist and lift cast aluminum wheel head with 10” bat pins.
Powder coated metal base
Plastic vacuum formed table top for complete water protection.
Round one piece splash pan.
The same bearings, pulleys and 6 groove poly v belts as other Thomas Stuart models.
Five year warranty !

The Prodigy is an awesome wheel.  How does the Prodigy differ from the Thomas Stuart Legend model?  The Prodigy has a powder-coated, welded steel frame (instead of a cast aluminum base).  It has a 12" wheelhead (instead of a 14" wheelhead).  It does not have a wheelhead rotation-reversing feature (standard rotation is counter-clockwise).  It is only available with the round one-piece splash pan.  The SSX controller upgrade is not an available on a new wheel purchase.

Great line of electric wheels built on a heavy cast aluminum housing.  Comes in 2 styles: Cast tub and removable splash pan.  Both have removable 14" wheel heads to make cleaning easy and reversing switches.

The solid-state, constant-torque, continual-duty motors (with cooling fan) are larger to dissipate heat.  This provides a wheel with more power than other wheels of similar horsepower ratings.  Ships UPS.  2 year warranty.  

Thomas Stuart offers two body styles and 3 motors sizes. 

 Additionally you can upgrade to the new SSX drive system and experience much quieter wheel operation, with more torque and smoother foot pedal control.
