Slab Making Kit

Everything you need to get started rolling out slabs. Kit includes:
- 19" rolling pin with nylon bearings (10-1/2 in x 2-3/8 in)
- 24" x 24" canvas
- 8 24" long thickness strips (2 each 1/8", 1/4", 3/8", 1/2" thick)
- Pro needle tool
- Instruction brochure including one slab-making project

Rolling Pins

Solid Maple Rolling Pin
Made from one piece of kiln dried solid maple, sanded and finished by hand, no plastic or metal parts to rust or wear out. Measurements are end to end.

French Roller
This slab roller is designed to roll out very thin slabs. This is due to having the ends tapered from the center. The roller will stretch the clay from the center of the slab out to the edges to make very thin slabs (as little as 2mm thickness.)

Rolling pin with thickness spacer discs
Originally designed for rolling out pastry, this beech hardwood rolling pin has removable discs which attach to it's ends. This allows you to easily roll out clay to a specific thickness without bothering with thickness strips or slabroller. Pretty neat. It comes with discs for making 2mm (1/16 in), 6mm (1/4 in) or 10mm (3/8 in) thick slabs. If you need a different thickness, you can make your own discs for infinite variations.

We tried it out with some clay, and it worked pretty slick. The pin is 16.5" long (13.5" rolling surface).
