Venco Pug Mills

Industrial quality pug mills built to withstand the most demanding studio pugging requirements.  Each model is supplied with a high horsepower motor and a heavy duty inline gearbox.  All these models are 220v single phase, stainless steel mixing blades and auger, zinc primer and durable acrylic paint protects frame against corrosion.  Main shaft bearings are sealed and lubricated for life and O-ring protected.  High capacity, piston vacuum pump with air and water filter; single phase motor.  Cast aluminum barrel, split longitudinally for easy cleaning.

A non de-airing model can be purchased initially, and the vacuum pump can be added later.  This is a great feature for those on a budget who want to improve their equipment over time.  More details about this option are coming.

Bluebird Pug mills

Studio Pugmills:

The Bluebird studio pugmill models 425 and 440 offer high quality wedging, reclaiming, and extruding capabilities, and are ideal when the quantity of clay to be processed averages 700# per month or less.  They are well suited for reclaiming in studio or classroom, and easily turns into a power extruder when adapted with your own dies.  Processes 350# per hour.  

Specs: 1/3 hp, 115 volts, single phase, 5.3 amps 60 hz, fan cooled totally enclosed gear motor, barrel construction is 5/16" thick one-piece cast Almag 35 (aluminum alloy), powder coated finish, output up to 400 lbs/hr wedging, up to 200 lbs/hr reclaiming, height 8.5", length 40", width 8.5", handle 14", extrusion diameter 3", hopper opening 5"x5"; stainless blades, shaft and internal rotating shredder.  Vacuum chamber on 440: clear acrylic cover permits monitoring and removal for cleaning, integral vacuum gauge, air release valve on chamber wall.   Vacuum pump 1/12 hp, 115 volts 60 hz, operated separately from pugmill.  Pulls up to 24" Hg.  Two-ply diaphragm, aluminum diecast body.   110 lbs.
