onto a heat-resistant work surface. No extra stand is needed. |

The digital SC series kilns fire silver clay, decals, china
paint, enameling, glass and ceramic jewelry in minutes to
2000F. The SC series are astonishingly priced for digital
kilns. They fire automatically at the rate and temperature
you enter. A large, brightly lit display prompts for
firing rate, temperature and hold time. It uses a simple,
three key control pad and fires in single segment, which means
one firing speed, to one temperature and one hold time, or two
segment Ramp-Hold. The last firing stays in memory for easy
repeat firing.

Use the hold to soak clay silver, clay
gold, or other materials to their recommended times.
Whether ten minutes or several hours, hold is automatic, so you
can make jewelry instead of watching a pyrometer.
Each SC
series kiln includes a 1/4" thick ceramic fiber
shelf. Both models heat from the two sides and back, and
both include a top vent for lost wax casting (and a peep hole
plug to fill it when not needed.). The outer steel
cases remain cool. Convenient on/off switch on the cord.
Ceramic Fiber shelf included. If firing glass or ceramics,
a fireclay shelf is recommended (see below).
The new digital SC-1 kiln fires
PMC, Art Clay Silver, decals, china paint, and glass up to 2000°F.
The SC-1 is smaller than the SC-2 and therefore very convenient
as a traveling kiln. Take the SC-1 to seminars and set it up in
just minutes. This may be the kiln of choice for those silver
clay artists who have limited work space or who make only a few
PMC or Art Clay Silver pieces per session. Fire them without
wasting the space of a larger kiln.

high usage, this probably isn't the kiln, as the elements are not

Paragon EZ Beader
It is designed to anneal glass beads to prevent breakage during
cooling.
The
digital EZ Beader can be programmed to maintain the annealing
temperature and to cool at a specific rate.
The EZ Beader is 11"
wide, 4.25" high, and 7" deep. The heating
element is mounted in the top. Two 2.5" tall,
5.5" wide doors give a total of 11 width for inserting
bead rods. Both versions of the EZ Beader have ceramic
fiber insulation walls and roof and an insulating firebrick
bottom. The 800-watt kilns use a standard household outlet
and can ship by UPS

Paragon BlueBird XL Blue
Bird
Like the popular Blue Bird, it is a digital front-loader for
annealing glass beads and figurines. However it's been
updated in several ways:
- Bigger doors: It has two 10 wide x 4 1/2
doors.
- Larger interior: It is 9 deep, 20 wide, and
4 1/2
high
- Firebrick interior on the roof, walls and floor.
The element is in the roof and seated in pin-less grooves.
The
8-segment Sentry Xpress version 4 digital controller is standard.
The rugged steel case is light
weight, portable, with a slotted base and louvered switch box
for long life of the electrical system. The Blue Bird XL plugs

Paragon J14 Front Load Fiber Kilns (X14J)
J14 with infinite controls
|
A front-load kiln popular for jewelry, china painting and
enameling. The J-14 is often used
for
heating jewelry molds. The kiln is made of ceramic fiber
for fast heating and cooling. It has an infinite control
switch and operates on 120 volts. Maximum temperature is 1700°
F. (Also available in 240v models; J14-2)
The J-14 comes with a built-in
thermocouple (temperature sensor). An attachment block is
mounted on the back of the kiln for easy hookup to a pyrometer
or portable TnF 2 controller.
The firing chamber is a one-piece
ceramic fiber shell with embedded elements. For greater
thermal efficiency, the space between the steel case and the
ceramic fiber shell is filled with extra ceramic fiber
insulation.
The J-14 comes with a vent hole and
steel cover in the top and door. The door seals tightly
with a heavy spring latch. The controls, located in the
base, stay cool for long life. No extra stand is
needed. The J-14 is available with an optional wax
tray for lost wax casting. |
