Not all the kilns have free shipping. The smallest kilns and
some of the largest kilns do not. If shipping is included, it will
say right next to the price $XX + Free Shipping or $XX including
shipping. If it doesn't say this, it is not free. Some small
110v kilns ship by UPS, and you can get the price for shipping by adding
them to your shopping cart. Otherwise please send us your zip code
for a shipping quote. For a small kiln by truck, you can usually
assume about $100 plus $30 if it is a residential address.
Sometimes it will be a little more, sometimes a little less.
For kilns marked Free shipping, it is to most addresses in the Continental US.
Some locations are more expensive to ship to, and there may be some
shipping charged even on "free ship". This happens less
than 5% of the time.
For medium to large sized kilns, we can often include free shipping
to Hawaii, especially if you pick up at your local port.
Liftgate may be required on larger kilns and
may be $40 extra. That lowers the kiln off the truck, and is
needed for medium and large kilns unless you have a forklift, loading
dock, or a lot of strong friends.
We confirm
voltage and shipping on all kiln orders so please check your email the
day after you place an order for a kiln.
With the exception of a few very small kilns which are marked
"ships UPS", all kilns ship by truck due to the fragile nature
of kiln bricks. You should unpack and inspect the kiln when it is
received. If any damage is noted make sure it is written on the
paperwork you are asked to sign. Report any damage to us
immediately.
If you are outside the continental US, we can give you a shipping
quote which credits the amount we would pay for free.
In a few cases where kilns are too inexpensive to include free
shipping, we have increased the price to show the total price with
shipping. We have done this for convenience to avoid having to get
shipping quotes, etc. We point this out because technically
shipping is not FREE in these cases. We list them as a price
"including Shipping".
