Bisque Kilns

There is nothing special about a bisque kiln.  Bisque is a low temperature firing and all the kilns (except glass kilns) will do the job fine.  But often people want the largest kiln they can get with a limited amount of power, and they prefer a plug which requires a kiln 48 amps or lower.  (Sometimes they are also doing low fire glaze, which does not require higher temperatures, and sometimes they do their glaze firing in a gas kiln.)  The following kilns are great for this purpose.

L&L E28T     10.2 cubic feet, fires to Cone 8, 48 amps with a 6-50 plug.  A great price with a lot of great features including an electronic controller.

Skutt 1227  9.9 cubic feet, fires to Cone 8, 48 amps with a 6-50 plug.  Manual and electronic models available.

Paragon 28-3  10.57 cubic feet, fires to Cone 4, 45 amps with a plug at 240v. (208v model is more amps and requires a direct wire.)

Olympic Oval Kilns   Many models are less than 48 amps and have a plug.
Olympic 2831   11.57 cubic feet, fires to Cone 6.
