| Note: This a popular size kiln so we believe some explanation and
guidance is in order. The kiln is very similar to the
easy-fire e23T's. The main differences are:
 | The control panel is only attached to 1 section on these
Jupiters, not all 3 sections, so it is slightly easier to get
apart. |
| The Jupiter has more flexibility if you want special options
such as pull-apart, backup kiln sitter, powered bottom,
etc. |
| The J230/JD230/J230-3/JD230-3 are 44 amps, but the easy-fire
e23T's are 48 amps. If you are getting an electronic
controller (JD models) and want the Jupiter, we
recommend the JD230-3-EZ which has higher wattage
elements so the kiln is 48 amps, like the e23T. |
| If you want higher power (which we recommend for Cone 10
firings) you could get a) the JD230S-3
which is 51.9 amps, 10800 watts at 208v and 12450 watts
at 240v. Or b) the JD230-3 with a
powered bottom which is 51.3 amps, 12313 watts at
240v or 10668 watts at 208v. Or c) The JD230S-3
with a powered bottom which is 60.5 amps, 14525 watts at
240v or 12600 watts at 208v.The first 2 require a 70 amp
breaker, the last requires an 80 amp breaker. All 3 must
be direct wired (no plug) |
