| JH Series Crystalline Kilns are
designed for people who fire Crystalline Glazes. This application
is very demanding and hard on kilns. Kilns have about 25% more
power than the regular models to reach Cone 12 (2400 F). They have
2.5" sides and 3" thick tops, which is optimal for Crytalline
glazes. Also included are: Very heavy K1 elements. K25
firebrick (instead of K23). Quad holders (four rows per heated
section). Type S thermocouples (two), On/Off Switch, Solid full 1” diameter peephole
plugs, Reflective Brick Coating. Other standard L&L features
like 3 year warranty, 24 key Dynatrol dynamic zone control controller,
and stainless also included.
Typically APM elements don't make a lot of
sense because they are very expensive. But they are very useful
when firing crystalline glazes because the same high heat and slow
cooling that crystallizes glazes also crystallizes elements. APM
elements resist this.
