FA-5-E
Enameling Kiln
An efficient, low cost metal enameling kiln for objects up to 5"
in diameter, the FA-5-E can reach a maximum temperature of 1600° F (871°
C). The 900 watt heating element reaches the maximum temperature
in just 15 minutes and is maintained automatically without
switches. Pieces can be loaded and unloaded by simply lifting the
lid. The front opening can be used to view pieces during firing
and for inserting small pieces with lid in place. The cost to
operate the FA-5-E is no more than that of an electric iron. Two year warranty
Note: Many people see that this kiln is
cheap and want to use it for other purposes: glass, PMC, bead
annealing, etc. The answer is basically no. You
could add a pyrometer to measure the temperature, but it still
has no temperature controls, it is either on or off.

Enameling/Multipurpose Kiln
The MK-4 kiln has a maximum temperature of 2000° F (1093° C) and is
ideal for firing small objects made with low-fire clays and glazes such
as teapots, bowls, and small pots up to 4" x 4".
9.25" x 13.5" x 13.5" exterior dimensions. Lift-up
door for easy loading includes a peephole for viewing pieces
during firing. 2.5" refractory firebrick insulation
to help reduce radiant temperature. 16 gauge Kanthal A-1
element wire inside the top firebrick. Low surface
temperature. Great for kids and schools. Infinite control switch
to regulate temperature increases. Includes one refractory shelf and a
five year

The 62-EFC and the 67-EFC enameling kilns from AMACO® are designed
to make enameling easy for the beginner and to meet the requirements of
the professional craftsperson. With a maximum temperature of
2019°F (1104°C), these kilns are excellent for metal enameling, glaze
testing, firing small pottery pieces, glass forming, and
decorating. 1" block insulation on bottom and 2" on
back to help reduce radiant temperature. Top-quality 14
gauge Kanthal A-1 element wire protected by durable refractory
holders on the side walls. (62-EFC is 16 gauge.) Low surface
temperature. Great for kids and schools. Pull-down door
with peephole which is easy to open and close. Infinite
control switch controls the rate of temperature increase.
Each kiln comes with one refractory shelf and a five year
warranty. |
