Snowfluff:
A white foaming type
texture glaze and completely matte. Snowfluff can be mixed with silica
sand and various other products for unusual and colorful effects. It can
be tinted into rich pastel shades with Amaco Underglazes or Amaco
Velvets. It is excellent to use for the base glaze in majolica.
Requires some stirring or mixing, but a heavy cream consistency is desired for
the textured effects. Apply to greenware or bisque by brushing or
sponging. Can be applied over, under or between unfired glazes for
unusual texture combinations. Cone 06-05. AP NonToxic in liquid
form. Not dinnerware safe.

White Pebble:

into a pattern resembling pearl tapioca after firing. The break up is
dependent upon the application. May be used under, over or between other
glazes for varied and interesting effects and is also excellent for design
work. May be tinted with Amaco Underglazes or Amaco Velvets. Cone

Overdrift:
An opaque, frosty white glaze, heavy in
consistency. It is indispensable in combination glaze techniques.
When used in combination work, Overdrift's strong white opacity partially
modifies the color tint of the base glaze. It renders a cascade of white
floats when applied over or under a glaze. It is also excellent on red
clay. Results are dependent upon the method and quality application and
the firing. Consistency should be like thick cream. Recommended
firing range is Cone 06-05, although it may be fired as high as Cone 6.

form. Not dinnerware safe.

White
Crawl:
White Crawl is a glaze that will crawl into irregular and very interesting
patterns when fired. The pattern will very depending on the thickness of
application. A heavier application will result in larger and wider
separations in the surface of the glaze, exposing larger areas of the
background, while a thinner application will result in a smaller, more
delicate pattern.
White Crawl can be used over, under or between other glazes. Beautiful
results can be achieved when used over underglazes, or to expand the color
palette, it may be tinted with liquid underglazes. Cone 06-05. AP NonToxic in liquid
form. Not dinnerware safe.

Black Onyx loves texture and will exhibit a beautiful iridescence much like that of oil floating on water. The dark black color makes soft transitions to a deep cobalt blue where it breaks on texture.

Arroya Glazes:

White Arroyo over LG48 Chrome Green
|
Arroya special glazes are designed to make interesting patterns in almost any glaze from cone 05 to 6. Arroya glazes are applied over the normal 3 coats of any brushing glaze,
and may be applied in 2 or 3 coats.
(Do not apply Arroyas to dipping glazed pots. Arroyas contain a lot of binder which is needed to keep the glaze attached to the piece when the glaze cracks.
Applying Arroyas to a dipping glaze without binder will cause the glaze to flake off the pot and fuse to the kiln shelf.)

Black Arroyo over LG-61 Canary Yellow
|
Two coats of Arroya will develop a fine crack pattern, and three coats will develop a larger pattern.
The coats of glaze need to be applied as soon as the previous coat has lost its sheen.
This is because the Arroya glazes need to "mud crack" before the piece is placed in the kiln.
If the glaze doesn't crack outside the kiln, no pattern will be seen on the fired piece.
Set the glazed piece promptly on the kiln shelf it will be fired on, to avoid having to handle the piece after the glaze has cracked and dried.

Black Arroyo over HF55 Coral Gloss
|
Fire the piece to the cone value of the base glaze. The Arroya will take on the character of the base
glaze . A stiff non-flowing glaze will have a very distinct pattern and a soft fluid glaze will blend with the Arroya for a very natural look.
The NEW Soft White and Soft Black work just like the regular Arroya glazes but are softer and will melt into base glazes better.
Get all 5 and try them on all your glazes. You will get some wonderful results on almost every base glaze you try.
See Arroya examples and instructions here
All colors in the Arroya series are LEAD FREE and AP Non
Toxic, but are not dinnerware safe, due to crackling which may collect
bacteria.
