North Star Extruders (Standard 4")

A simple, safe extruder. Welded steel construction. Handle anchored at fixed pivot point remains in down position while barrel is being loaded. Complete with wall mounting hardware, clay cutter, handle and extension handle for leverage, and Basic Die Set (see details and close up of dies here) Clay cutter is designed to uniformly cut a pug of clay to fit extruder barrel. Holds 5-8 lbs of clay.

Northstar Big Blue Extruder

This new model features a 6" x 6" x 12" aluminum barrel that holds a full 25 pound pug of clay. Also has rack and pinion gear drive with detachable wagon wheel handle. Designed to be safe; no hydraulic and pneumatic drives. Wall mounted, the barrel lifts off with no tools. Plunger goes to within 1/2 of the bottom of the barrel so all but a tiny bit of clay is extruded. Normal extrusions require no more than 30 pounds of force to be applied at the handle. (Includes "Large Die Set" listed on the die page, see below.) Makes up to 5" extrusions. Made in the USA. Custom dies are inexpensive and ship within 7 days.

Scott Creek Super Duper Clay Extruders

These are very popular in California, seen in many studios. A great design for getting good leverage to push hard clay through. Comes in 3", 4" and 5" diameter.

Super Duper Clay Extruder 4"
All aluminum extruder for use with porcelain or white clay; barrel removes for easy cleaning. Very handy when switching from red to white clay. (There is a steel version available for $20 less, but it rusts and can discolor white clay.) Includes two blank dies.

Brent Handextruder

Construction is heavy-duty steel pipe with wear and stress points case hardened to withstand all production applications. The barrel is 4 inches wide and holds 10 pounds of clay. An easy-to-remove end cap holds the die you choose. Pull the handle and use the extrusion for twists and braids, moldings, handles, cups or coils.

The extruder comes with the hardware needed to be bolted to a wall or table, and an optional stand can be purchased to attach it to the end of Brent® SR-14, SR-20 and SR-36 slab rollers (see Handex Stand below).

AMACO Electric Clay Extruder

Moist clay is quickly and thoroughly mixed and blended for throwing, sculpturing and jiggering as well as for extrusion of special shapes like those used in industry. When used for reclaiming hardened clay, the clay should be broken into small pieces and soaked in water to moisten before extruding.

Fast cutting, mixing and wedging action is assured by two auger blades driven by a direct drive 1/3 HP 120 Volt AC gear motor with 6 foot (3 wire grounded) cord. Interchangeable dies supplied are 1 1/2" rod, 1 1/2" O. D. tube (3/16" wall thickness), 1/4" x 1" ribbon. 77 lbs

A small aluminum extruder which will make hollow or solid forms up to 3". Includes a cast aluminum cap, inner die holder for hollow forms, a blank die and a drilled aluminum die which makes 1/4", 5/16", 3/8" and 1/2" coils.
