Snowfluff:
A white foaming type texture glaze and completely matte.  Snowfluff can be mixed with silica sand and various other products for unusual and colorful effects.  It can be tinted into rich pastel shades with Amaco Underglazes or Amaco Velvets.  It is excellent to use for the base glaze in majolica.  Requires some stirring or mixing, but a heavy cream consistency is desired for the textured effects.  Apply to greenware or bisque by brushing or sponging.  Can be applied over, under or between unfired glazes for unusual texture combinations.  Cone 06-05.  AP NonToxic in liquid form.

White Pebble:
Has a pebbly appearance as it breaks up into a pattern resembling pearl tapioca after firing.  The break up is dependent upon the application.  May be used under, over or between other glazes for varied and interesting effects and is also excellent for design work.  May be tinted with Amaco Underglazes or Amaco Velvets.  Cone 06-05.  Health Label in liquid form.

Overdrift:
An opaque, frosty white glaze, heavy in consistency.  It is indispensable in combination glaze techniques.  When used in combination work, Overdrift's strong white opacity partially modifies the color tint of the base glaze.  It renders a cascade of white floats when applied over or under a glaze.  It is also excellent on red clay.  Results are dependent upon the method and quality application and the firing.  Consistency should be like thick cream.  Recommended firing range is Cone 06-05, although it may be fired as high as Cone 6.  Health Label in liquid form.

White Crawl:
White Crawl is a glaze that will crawl into irregular and very interesting patterns when fired.  The pattern will very depending on the thickness of application.  A heavier application will result in larger and wider separations in the surface of the glaze, exposing larger areas of the background, while a thinner application will result in a smaller, more delicate pattern.

White Crawl can be used over, under or between other glazes.  Beautiful results can be achieved when used over underglazes, or to expand the color palette, it may be tinted with liquid underglazes.  Cone 06-05.  AP NonToxic in liquid form.

GLAMLUSTRE.jpg (18143 bytes)
Example of Gold Lustre

Provide the metallic look of hard steel and the high brilliance of lustre.  The end result is determined by the structure of the ware and the method of application.  Lustre and Metallic glazes can be used effectively in conjunction with other glazes or dramatically by themselves.  Can be fired to Cone 4-6 with fantastic results.  Should be the consistency of rich cream.  Apply by brushing or sponging on a mature Cone 04 bisque fired surface.  Recommended firing range Cone 06-05.  #518 Lustre Gold should be fired to Cone 04.  Health Label in liquid form.  All are lead free except L518 and L520.  Due to CL labeling, L511, L518, and L520 may not be used in K-6 schools.  Read more about glaze safety.

Arroya Glazes:

GLAMARSample.jpg (86337 bytes)

Textured and produce a unique carved effect when fired.  Designed for use over gloss and matte unfired glazes, Arroya glazes are best applied with a fully loaded fan blender for all-over coverage or with a sponge using a pouncing method.  The heavier the application, the larger the break-up effect and the more matte the finish.  Apply to Cone 04 bisque, fire at Cone 06-05.
