Spectrum Specialty Glaze
Clear Crackle, Pewter, Bronze, Ivory Crackle, and a variety
of Texture Glazes.
For the crackle pattern to really stand out as on the
color chip, you must rub ink or dye into the cracks after the piece has
cooled.
Pewter is very stable over cone 06-04. Bronze is
more sensitive. It provides a beautiful golden bronze finish if the
thickness and firing temperature are correct. It needs to be applied
heavily (4 coats by brushing) and fired hotter than normal (may need cone 03.)
The
texture glazes are very matte and stiff. They can be given an extra
rough surface by applying the final coat with a sponge, which has been
demonstrated on the chips. The are not dinnerware safe because the rough
surface would trap bacteria.
None are advised for use on
dinnerware.
All except Bronze and Pewter are Non-Toxic in liquid
form.
Also available in gallons by special order.
