From Spectrum (Hi Fire cone 9/10):

Opaque Gloss  (1206, 1207, 1208, 1209, 1210, 1215, 1226, 1229, 1240, 1241, 1242, 1243, 1244, 1245, 1254, 1270, 1271, 1272, 1273, 1274, 1275)  and Opaque Satin (1203 1225 1231 1237 1248 1251).  These lead free, non-toxic and food safe beautiful opaque gloss and smooth satin glazes are appropriate for use at cone 9/10.

Reactive (1220 1221 1227 1230 1233 1235  1252  1253)    These lead free, non-toxic glazes are food safe as long as there is a continuous vitrified surface when fired.  They are formulated to react during the firing cycle which can product very interesting and beautiful effects.  The final appearance of the glaze is dependent on firing temperature, glaze thickness and the clay body being used.  The same glaze can look quite different on different clay bodies, as it will react with ingredients in the body.  The samples shown on the colour charts were fired in oxidation in an electric kiln.  Different results will be obtained in reduction.

Reactive (1205  1222  1228  1234  1256  1256  1258  1259  1260  1261  1262  1263  1264  1265  1266  1267  1269)   LEAD FREE, NOT NON-TOXIC.  These glazes are lead free, but they exceed the vanadium threshold limit in the liquid unfired state and therefore are NOT Non-toxic.  However they are all food safe if fired to the proper firing temperature.  They are formulated to react during the firing cycle which can product very interesting and beautiful effects.  The final appearance of the glaze is dependent on firing temperature, glaze thickness and the clay body being used.  The same glaze can look quite different on different clay bodies, as it will reach with ingredients in the body.  The samples shown on the color charts were fired in oxidation in an electric kiln.  Different results will be obtained in reduction.

Blue Lava 1263  Used blue lava on buff clay, fired to cone 10: Not happy with results. Turned out to be a matte royal blue, with an awful 'rice crispy' bubbled texture.
Turquoise 1207: very good results, smooth glossy finish, no streaks.
Texture honey 1225: very good results, more matte finish.
Satin crackle 1201: unhappy with it and poor results: almost un-noticable crackle. Glaze is more like thick paste consistency, and did not improve when I tried to thin with water.

Orchid lava 1269   When sprayed on thinly, 2 coats it is a beautiful transparent greenish brown. I haven't gotten it to look like the picture yet, but I may need a thicker application

Spectrum High Fire   Textured Coral  kwood@magiccablepc.com  05/02/02  Sprayed onto porcelain i got a pale yellow somewhat matt finish. Wasn't what i expected. Is it possible it didn't get enough reduction?

Spectrum High Fire  Satin Crackle    Date: 05/02/02   I also never got any type of crackle out of this glaze. It just looked white with some lavender/pink coloring. O.K. coloring but not what was intended.
