ThinFire Shelf Paper
A heat-resistant light weight ceramic impregnated
paper, Thin-Fire shelf paper provides excellent separation between kiln
shelf and glass in kiln firing applications up to 1600 degrees
Fahrenheit. Sheets are used one time, then disintegrate during
firing.
Application hints: Thin Fire is so light
weight that it is easily affected by glass movement and will sometimes
pull into or curl over the glass perimeter at maximum firing
temperature. Contact with the top surface of the glass will leave and
undesirable haze. To prevent edge curl, weight the outer corners of the
paper with small pieces of glass or broken kiln shelf as needed.
Fire glass against the smoothest side of Thinfire
for smoothest glass. To identify the smoothest side, run your finger
across each side, and listen to the sound. The quieter side is the
smoothest side.
ThinFire disintegrates to a dusty tissue when
fired. As with all ceramic fiber material, avoid breathing residual
dust. Wear a respirator (NIOSH approved for dusts) during disposal. If
possible, clean shelves with a HEPA vacuum.

Shelf Paper
A lightweight refractory material processed from high purity
alumina-silica fibers. Ideal for use as a smooth separator when
fusing glass on a flat shelf. Designs can be cut out of thicker
fiber paper and used to fuse glass over it, creating relief
patterns. Withstands temperatures up to 2300°F, 1260°C. Does not
contain asbestos.
Kiln venting is necessary. These refractory
fiber papers transform to cristobalite, a form of crystalline silica
which may cause lung injury when heated above 1800°F (982°C). An
approved respiratory mask is recommended.

Fuse Master - Super Spray
A devitrification spray. Used to prevent vitrification on
the surface of fused/slumped glass (which creates a cloudy, hazing,
non-glossy appearance)
Super Spray is a very low-lead overglaze that prevents de-vitrification on kiln fired glass projects that is proven safe for
food bearing surfaces. Super Spray will not discolor reds, oranges or
other sensitive tones. For easy application, simply brush it onto your
glass project or spray it on with an air brush or atomizer.

Wash Away
Wash Away easily removes stubborn, baked-on shelf primer from fused
projects. Apply Wash Away and scrub with a non-metallic scouring pad. 8
oz. bottle.

GlasTac
Lightly tacks glass pieces in place prior to firing. Slow
drying and pliability allow readjustments as you work. Organic
colorant lets you see where you’ve put it on clear glass but it
burns out in the kiln. Use sparingly. Water soluble. Handy
4 fl oz (.12 L) applicator bottle.
