Designed by Dr. Dong-Hun Chung,
adjunct professor of advanced ceramics at South Korea’s
Won Kwang University this extraordinary collection of tools
combines a level of quality achieved by the utilization of
exceptional materials and master craftsmanship.
The Chung collection offers tools
for throwing and hand building which are as handsome as they
are functional and as practical as they are incomparable.
Constructed from stained, white birch and high-grade
stainless steel, the tools are sized, both large and small,
for the job at hand. From small trimming tools to massive
tools for shaping and forming in the ancient Onggi
tradition, Chung Tools are like none you have ever
experienced.
NOTE: The cotton shoulder bags and roll pouches
vary in color. We cannot choose when we order, we just
get what we get. The canvas roll pouches are often
natural colored with brown trim. The aprons
vary. They are very nice.
Some of the tool sets are now shipping
with a mix of wooden and rubber handled tools. They
are still very nice quality, just different then the images
below (which show wooden handles). Needle tools now
often do not have wooden caps.
