Texturizers: Lead Free

Sample of texturizer on bottles |
|
High
Fire

TH-1 is a rutile base texturizer. In superposition
with other glazes it tends to produce a yellowish/orange
crystal-type texture. It will yield excellent results with
most AMACO HF Series glazes, or
other glazes which are fired at Cone 4-6, when applied over or
under the glazes. As results vary from glaze to glaze, be
sure to fire a test sample first |
Low
Fire

Apply TL-1 Texturizer over any Cone 06-05 glaze to create
different textures. Surface textures vary depending on the
type of base glaze (gloss, matte, or textured), increasing the
glaze palette tremendously. An even wider variety of effects
can be achieved by applying TL-1 between coats of two different
glazes. |

| Sodium
Silicate, pint |
Liquid
"N" brand Sodium Silicate is used as a major deflucculant in
preparing slip. It reduces the amount of water needed, therefore
reducing shrinkage. This is a pure sodium silicate and must be
mixed with water to a 50/50 solution for most casing bodies. |

A
deflocculant that is user friendly because it has a wide
deflocculation curve. Does not deteriorate molds as actively as
sodium silicate. |
