In case you haven't had time to search around the website, I thought I
would summarize some of the interesting things we have there.
The following are all listed on the left hand side of the home page. BigCeramicStore.com
Discussion Group Index – This lists user groups where you can
post questions and get answers from fellow ceramists. They cover pottery
and ceramics, sculpture, and general arts and crafts topics such as
shipping, selling and pricing your work. The largest of the discussion
groups is ClayArt, which has over 4000 members from around the world.
You can get up to 100 emails a day though, so be warned. You can also
subscribe as a “web user” which means you don’t get emails but you
can browse around the posts when you have time. http://groups.yahoo.com/group/clayart
ClayArt also has their archives on-line, organized by subject, at
http://www.potters.org/categories.htm

own glazes.

Find Kiln Timesharing in your area – This lists by state (and
country) people who have signed up and said they will fire other
people’s pieces. A great place to look if you don’t have your own
kiln. Or sign up yourself if you are willing to rent out kiln space.
Find Workshops and Instructors – Lists by state and country,
places that offer regular on-going workshops in ceramics, and people who
teach ceramics out of their own studios.
Past Tips of the Week – All the past tips for you to browse or
print out.
Excellent Ceramic Links – Other great ceramics resources on the
web.
Potter’s Studios by Area – Potters who travel often like to
visit other potters. This is a listing, by state and country, of potters
who have signed up as being “open” to visitors.
Links to Potter’s Home Pages – Web pages where potters
showcase their work, sometimes for sale and other times just to look at.
Definitely a source of great ideas, and at great place to look if you
want to buy something.
