I teach both handbuilding and wheel forming. I also hold
Pit-fire, raku and kiln building workshops as the need
arises.
With my hand-built forms I try to capture a natural flowing
form and either burnish highly and spray with oxides, or if I
glaze I like to let the glaze decorate the piece with the same
natural flow. The beauty imparted by the reduction in the
pit-firing process is a constant mystery of magic to me. My
dinnerware is hand-thrown, I tend either very rounded forms or
very symmetrical, with minimal decoration. Designs are ever
evolving, and I enjoy the design and experimental
process.

I offer one on one workshops with no more than two people at one time.
These workshops are intended to improve your throwing and glazing skills
at a great rate because of individual attention. I have 27 years
experience as a studio potter in Oklahoma, California, Colorado, and
Mexico. I fire reduction glazes at cone 6-9 in a gas kiln. I prefer people
with some background in wedging, throwing, and glazing. Check my website
