Making Pots on the Wheel   Technique, Form and Function

Featuring Jerry Horning

VDMPOTWSETDVD.gif (169258 bytes)

These six videos  (30-40 minutes each) provide a detailed throwing course which demonstrates: cylinders, bowls and plates, vases and bottles, pots with handles, lidded jars, teapots.  The value of these videotapes in learning throwing techniques cannot be overstated.  Throwing cannot be taught by words, it must be learned by repeated demonstrations and practice.  Few teachers have the opportunity to repeat throwing demonstrations as often as students might need or at all of the times that students might want.  These videotapes provide pottery students with the opportunity to watch demonstrations by a respected potter and teacher any time they want.  Moreover, the videotapes are expertly filmed from a variety of useful perspectives.

For beginning potters, Jerry's step-by-step demonstrations of basic throwing techniques are invaluable.  For more advanced potters, the subtleties of form and texture that Jerry gives to his pots when he throws make the videotapes both inspiring and enjoyable.

These videos used to sell for $40 each, or the set of 6 for $220.  Now the DVD Sets are only $110!   (And on sale for only $80!)
